PACE operates at the messy intersection of clinical complexity and rigid regulation. Supporting that reality requires technology designed to support and evolve alongside the PACE model.

February’s CareHub EMR updates focus on making documentation feel like a natural part of care, not an administrative chore or added burden. They reflect a continued focus on helping PACE programs:

  • stay audit-ready,
  • aligned with evolving regulations,
  • and equipped to make more proactive, informed decisions.

1. Compliance built in, not bolted on

In PACE, compliance is woven into daily operations—from grievances and appeals to quality oversight. CareHub embeds these requirements directly into core workflows, allowing teams to maintain defensible records as a natural part of their day-to-day work.

What’s new this month:

  • Enhanced traceability: We’ve introduced more structured identification for grievances and SDRs. This supports even faster retrieval and more consistent reporting, meaning you can find specific records instantly without digging through external spreadsheets or manual notes.
  • Precise data capture: Enhancements now ensure operational data and regulatory reporting remain aligned as your program scales.
  • Flexible med admin: Clinical documentation continues to evolve with more flexible medication administration scheduling. This reflects real-world care intervals while maintaining the accurate, audit-ready documentation required for compliance.

2. Smarter care, without compromise

High-quality care depends on timely documentation and seamless coordination between IDT review and clinical activity. When these elements are connected, teams can act with greater confidence and fewer workarounds.

What’s new this month:

  • Seamless documentation: It is now easier to transition from scheduled services into documentation within the natural flow of care. Users can now launch a Visit Note directly from Day Center events to begin clinical documentation immediately.
  • Automated huddle workflows: We’ve further streamlined the IDT process. When moving a participant to a different huddle date, the system now automatically carries over all Intus-suggested reasons with them, ensuring no context is lost.
  • Intuitive participant context: Vital participant details—including living situation and notes—are now in the General Information section of the profile. This ensures IDT members can quickly reference critical context during care planning and reviews.

3. Stronger coordination across teams, centers, and care settings

Effective coordination requires a unified view of participant activity across internal services, external providers, and multiple centers.

What’s new this month:

  • Unified event filtering: We’ve expanded operational visibility with a consolidated filter list for all event types: Internal, External, and Custom. This makes it easier to track activity across different care settings within a single environment.
  • Flexible team management: Updates to the “Teams and Centers” pop-up ensure items wrap onto new lines, maintaining visibility as your organization grows.
  • Administrative insight: Admins can now see exactly which team(s) a user belongs to directly within the Users tab, supporting clearer alignment between clinical and administrative teams.

Continuous innovation aligned with the realities of PACE

We know that PACE is a model that works. For it to be at its best, the technology supporting it should amplify that model, not require teams to adapt or implement manual workarounds. Each enhancement is designed to move CareHub as close as possible to how PACE organizations actually operate, helping you stay proactive and confident in your care delivery.
